Respiratory Therapist Position
This role involves working in an inpatient and/or outpatient setting, providing comprehensive treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will utilize various types of oxygen and therapeutic gas equipment, including masks, tents, and incubators. They will also be responsible for:
- Delivering and assessing responses to ordered therapy per plan of care.
- Measuring ventilator volumes, pressures, and blood gas analysis.
- Monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition and general acceptance of treatment.
- Setting up, operating, cleaning, sterilizing, and storing respiratory therapy equipment.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license, 2-year Associates Degree, and 1-3 years of experience in Respiratory Therapy. BLS certification is also required, with ACLS and PALS certifications to be obtained within 2 months of hire.
