Job Summary and Qualifications

Provide safe and effective patient care through the performance of specific duties, surgical and other procedures under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Performs routine scrub as well as specifically delegated duties according to established policies and procedures of the Labor and Delivery/Obstetrical Department. Assists in maintaining a safe environment for all. Keeps current with operating room techniques, procedures, instruments, supplies and equipment, assists with continuing quality improvement. To assist direct caregivers by communicating information between patients, staff medical staff and the public either orally, in writing or utilizing the hospital; information system.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• High School Graduate / GED
