Job Summary And Qualifications
An HVAC Technician is a skilled worker who is experienced at working with HVAC systems in acute care facilities, or commercial and industrial settings. HVAC Technician responsibilities include preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting hot/cold calls and services HVAC systems in acute care and non-acute care hospital settings. The technician performs tests and analysis of data to assure the proper functioning of equipment. The HVAC technician will be expected to reliably maintain all equipment per HCA Healthcare Engineering standards to ensure the highest level of efficiency and to reduce business interruptions. All technicians should be willing to assist facility management operations in other non-HVAC maintenance activities as assigned.

What you will do in this role:
- Area of concentration it the HVAC trade. Operate, maintain, trouble-shoot and repair central chiller plant equipment, as well as peripheral air handling units, including electronic and electrical/pneumatic controls associated with computerized energy management system.
- Maintain and repair refrigeration equipment, including walk-in coolers/freezer, ice machines, refrigeration units, and all associated controls.
- Performs general maintenance and construction functions as directed by supervisor.
- Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment in accordance with operator’s manual.
- Documents preventative maintenance performed on assigned equipment.
- Responsible for maintaining an inventory of parts that may be needed for repairs
- Troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of hospital electromechanical equipment and systems.
- Performs other related functions as assigned.
