Intensive Care Unit Charge Nurse Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and experienced ICU Charge Nurse to join our team at HCA Florida Palms West Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating patient care and ensuring that all patients receive high-quality treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care
- Participate in ongoing assessment of quality of patient care services provided in the unit
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary
- Manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) certification within 30 days of employment start date
- A Registered Nurse (RN) Associate Degree from an accredited institution
