Job Summary and Qualifications
As a PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Registered Nurse (RN), you will work to provide care for patients that have been administered anesthesia – these patients are typically transferred from OR, Endo, Interventional Radiology & / or TEE. PACU patients are in this Unit for observation and recovery until either being discharged or admitted to another Unit within the hospital – some admitted patients are at a critical care level. You will work with a team of physicians and multiple other healthcare professionals.
Tasks and responsibilities, you will :
Position Qualifications :
FL RN Licensure, or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including / not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
2 year / Associates Degree
Current certifications : BLS, ACLS & PALS (AHA)
1 – 3 years in PACU or Critical Care
Customer service abilities including effective listening skills
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment

We are an Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Primary Stroke Center. HCA Florida Palms West Hospital has emergency services, a dedicated New Life Center and a Level II NICU. We have a full-service Children’s Hospital. Services include outpatient rehabilitation, an aquatics center, orthopedic spine center, robotics, and interventional radiology.
