A Registered Respiratory Therapist PRN at HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care. They perform diagnostic tests, therapeutic procedures, and monitor patients receiving mechanical ventilation.
Responsibilities
- Perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
- Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
Requirements
- State Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- Certification through the NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care).
- Completion of a two year AMA approved respiratory care program (Associates Degree or equivalent).
