Job Description
The Respiratory Therapist coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department. As a vital part of the patient care team, the Respiratory Therapist performs diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures and monitors patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply and operate acute care ventilators for continuous short and long-term mechanical ventilation.
- Maintain accurate records and enter information into the hospital computer.
- Perform procedures with care and empathy for our patients.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need current Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure, American Heart Association BLS healthcare provider certification, and ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications within six months of hire.
