The Stroke Coordinator provides leadership for the comprehensive stroke program by aligning the clinical, educational, outreach and quality initiatives to obtain the goals and objectives of the program.

Job Summary And Qualifications
The Stroke Coordinator provides leadership for the comprehensive stroke program by aligning the clinical, educational, outreach and quality initiatives to obtain the goals and objectives of the program.
What you will do in this role:
- Assesses and analyzes both patient and program outcomes through data collection.
- Acts as a leader to provide recommendations and coordination of the Stroke Program in a collaborative team approach to accomplish goals.
- Accesses, develops and coordinates staff and patient education related to the Stroke Program.
- Promotes and displays a positive customer oriented demeanor to patients, visitors, staff, and physicians.
- Actively seeks ways to control costs without compromising patient safety, quality of care, or the services delivered.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the occurrence reporting system. Uses system to report potential patient safety issues.
- Uses Performance Improvement Plan to improve patient safety.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Registered Nurse - Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state in which he or she practices, in accordance with law and regulation. State of Florida license or appropriate compact licensure. If Florida is not the primary State on the multi-state license must establish Florida as primary on license within 90 days of hire or within 90 days of establishing residency in Florida (whichever is sooner).
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required
- achelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- 1 year of experience in chronic disease, stroke, or rehabilitation fields required
