As our Baker Act Coordinator, you will act as a liaison between the Behavioral Health Center and other hospital departments to ensure consistency in maintaining records and policy.

Delegated tasks may include:
- You will explain and document explanation of patient rights, Marchman Act, and Baker Act.
- You will relate information in an understandable manner to the patient and his representative/guardians as needed.
- You will be knowledgeable concerning the Baker Act, Marchman Act, and guardianship chapters of the Florida Statutes.
- You will schedule hearings involving physicians, patients, and the court and ensures material is prepared in order to transfer patients to other facilities.
- 1-3 years of experience preferred with Baker’s Act.
- High school or GED preferred
- Basic Cardiac Life Support through the American Heart Association, CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training required for Behavioral Health.
- Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills

- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention
- Other-Fingerprint Required
- Bachelors Degree
