Job Summary and Qualifications
The Registration Technology team is responsible for the development and implementation of technology products supporting patient registration processes. The consulting engineer will collaborate with business customers and project teams providing engineering leadership related to product design and ensure consistent approaches are followed by team members. The consulting engineer will ensure the proper technical oversight as it pertains to effective delivery, deployment, documentation, and maintenance of registration products.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as consultant on large projects affecting the organization’s long-term goals and objectives.
Lead product design sessions. Engage with architects and software engineers ensuring consistency across registration products.
Guide and implement the engineering processes through pipeline creation, testing, deployment, and quality control.
Establish and enforce standards for design and quality across team registration technology.
Lead multiple project tasks simultaneously.
Work with leadership to coordinate project effort among multiple team members.
Support unique and complex projects.
Work to build technical knowledge and expertise across the team, taking advantage of mentoring and ongoing professional development training resources.
Design and build POCs as demonstration examples for leadership and stakeholders for new product needs and new technologies.
Participate in strategic planning sessions related to registration products ensuring proper planning, staffing, and execution.
Delegate tasks across team members for effective delivery of solutions.
Conduct peer reviews of development work completed by team members.
Lead troubleshooting activities to resolution.
Coordinate with vendor, corporate, and other partner teams.
Actively build relationships with engineers, stakeholders, product owners, and leadership.
Encourage staff to be customer focused.
What qualifications you will need:
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree - Preferred
EXPERIENCE
7 or more years of experience in Product Development - Required
1 or more years of team leadership or management - Preferred
OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES
Extensive expertise/experience in product design and development - Required
Working knowledge with Azure and GCP cloud environments preferred - Required
5 or more years of engineering, delivering and supporting production software products - Required
3 or more years working with object-oriented design, SQL, and web development - Required
Strong focus on delivering customer value - Required
Excellent problem-solving abilities - Required
Strong verbal and written communication - Required
Experience building micro services - Required
Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment preferred - Required
Working knowledge with Azure and GCP cloud environments preferred - Preferred
