Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Histology Technologist I to join our team at HCA Healthcare Laboratory Services. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced laboratory setting, where you will analyze testing samples, perform quality control procedures, and process tissue specimens. Key responsibilities of this role include analyzing testing samples according to instructions, performing quality control procedures per protocol, and embedding tissue specimens in correct orientation. You should also be proficient in sectioning paraffin blocks, producing sections of correct thickness with minimal cutting artifacts, and recognizing inferior staining prior to submission and correcting the problem to meet standards. In addition, you will ensure correct Cytology and Pathology numbers are entered in the computer under the right prefix, as well as ALL clinical data provided.
