Job Summary and Qualifications
We seek an experienced Ultrasound Tech Perinatal to provide specialized expertise to ensure all patients receive high-quality, efficient care. We value teamwork and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. Apply now to join our team.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Applying fetal ultrasound principles in the evaluation of fetal anomalies
- Applying gynecological ultrasound principles in the evaluation of patient
- Adapting to various ultrasound machines while maintaining high standards of sonography
- Identifying fetal anomalies, such as CNS, maxillofacial, cardiothoracic, abdomen, abdomen wall, genitourinary, extremity placental, umbilical cord growth disturbance
- Performing ultrasounds on maternal uterus, cervix and ovaries
- Performing complicated twin and triplet scans in conjunction with in-office multiple gestation service
- Identifying gynecological anomalies such as fibroids, thickened endometrium and polyps
- Making preliminary, equivocal diagnosis of gynecological and fetal disorders in the organ systems mentioned above
- Operating General Electric, Accuson, Medison, and ATL ultrasound machines with proficiency
- Continuing to expand knowledge of latest technology
- Maintaining ultrasound logging records including past medical history, past surgical history, past obstetric history, and past genetic history
- Preparing patients for procedures including and not limited to Level I & II ultrasounds, amniocentesis, lung maturity amniocentesis, PUBS, amino reduction, external cephalic version, and GYN ultrasound
- Maintaining professional relationships with other staff members, other obstetric offices and hospital personnel
- Exercising independent judgment when interpreting Biophysical Profiles designed to assess fetal well-being
- Alerting physicians of potentially dangerous conditions
- Diagnosing fetal weight disturbances based on fetal biometry
- Diagnosing multiple fetal anomalies and reporting them to physician
- Other duties as assigned
To qualify for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Associates degree in Ultrasound required
- Bachelors degree preferred
- RDMS required
- RDMS OB/GYN preferred
