Job Summary and Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge of high-level disinfectant process for endoscopes according to manufacture recommendations.
• Responsible and accountable for care of instruments, endoscopes, and supplies.
• Responsible for monitoring and maintaining Cidex OPA logs.
• Assists in lifting and transporting patients as needed.
• Demonstrates knowledge of operating Medivator.
• Assists in cleaning of rooms between cases and at the end of the schedule.
• Demonstrates knowledge of safety as it is related to medical device processing and high-level disinfectant.
• Accountable for maintaining and improving own job knowledge and skills.
• Supports the hospital’s mission, goal and objectives.
• Assists with preparation of patients pre and post procedure.
• Demonstrates knowledge of storage of endoscopes.
• Assists physicians and ENDO nurses with invasive procedures.
• Practice and promotes positive peer and guest relations.
• Responsible for direction of emergent/urgent care in crisis situation in a calm, knowledgeable manner.
• Assists Charge nurse with maintenance of equipment and supplies needed to
• care for patients adequately and reports broken/unsafe equipment so that repairs
• can be made quickly to ensure patient safety.

What qualifications you will need:

• Previous Endo Tech experience preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
