Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist CRT PRN to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Mainland.
About the Role
As a Respiratory Therapist CRT PRN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working closely with our medical team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate, assess, and evaluate all forms of respiratory therapy including bronchodilators, chest physical therapy, oxygen therapy, and non-invasive and invasive ventilator care.
- Exercise technical knowledge in respiratory anatomy, physiology, and pathology as well as the design and operations of all respiratory therapy equipment.
- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a staff position preferred.
- Current permanent or temporary license issued by the Texas Department of Health to practice Respiratory Care.
- RRT/RCP Special Qualifications: Possesses knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the population of the patients served.
- Maintain current NRP certification from the American Heart Association for anyone assigned to NICU.
- Obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
- Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
- Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT) is desirable.
