Job Summary And Qualifications
As a Lead Patient Care Technician, you will deliver high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. Under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN), you will assist the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the PCT’s skills/training and the needs of the department and performs or assists with more advanced procedures based on one or more achieved specialty certifications. The Lead PCT is responsible for ensuring new processes, equipment and other changes are communicated and/or taught to other PCTs.

Job Summary And Qualifications
As a Lead Patient Care Technician, you will deliver high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. Under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN), you will assist the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the PCT’s skills/training and the needs of the department and performs or assists with more advanced procedures based on one or more achieved specialty certifications. The Lead PCT is responsible for ensuring new processes, equipment and other changes are communicated and/or taught to other PCTs.
What you will do in this role:
- You will participate in the implementation of nursing care plans by performing direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of the licensed nurse, along with discharges.
- You will assist with use of mobility by regular turning and positioning, dangling, and ambulating patients, walkers, crutches, canes, wheelchairs, and transfer patients to and from other units, departments, or entities, along with demonstrating proper body mechanics.
- You will provide or assist with non-medicated support care, including non-sterile dressing changes, skin protection, application of heat or ice, oxygen delivery, and venous compression devices.
- You will obtain or assist in the collection of specimens for diagnostic or waived tests and ensure accuracy of all labels and timely transfer of specimen.
- You will meet with new hire PCTs at hospital-wide orientation. Precepts all new PCTs to ensure unit expectations and standards are known and followed.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent Preferred
- CNA Training Program Preferred
- 2 years of experience in an acute care setting Preferred
- 1 years of experience at an HCA facility Required
