Job Summary:
HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast is seeking an experienced nurse practitioner to support with an outpatient multispecialty Neuro/Ortho/Pain clinic for a part time position.
Qualified Candidates:
- Develop protocols and plans of treatment under physician supervision
- Must be people-oriented and willing to learn
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally
- Must have strong interpersonal skills to work with a diverse patient population
- Expected to work with various patient demographics & medical staff averaging 15-20 consults a week
- Certified APP with prescriptive authority required
- Must be eligible for licensure in the state of Texas
- 3 plus years’ experience is preferred and work experience with patients in an outpatient setting
- Comfortable seeing orthopedic related conditions along with, back & neck pain.
- The APPs role is to see the patient, order the necessary diagnostics, prescribe medications, refer to specialists for surgery or for pain management.
- Also, another primary role includes being able to perform knee and shoulder joint injections
- The ability to partner with multi-specialty providers in the community to educate on clinic capabilities for patients
