Job Summary and Qualifications
The Licensed Practical Nurse participates in direct patient care, administers medications and helps with guidance of non-professional personnel. Provides prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to psychiatric patients in hospital.
- You will write initial treatment plan and assist with ongoing case management duties as assigned.
- You will participate actively in ongoing treatment and discharge planning.
- You will observe patients, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify supervisor or physician of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
- You will chart patient information according to hospital standard.
- You will take and record patient's vital signs and implement CIWA (Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment - Alcohol) and COWS (Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale) screenings per doctor's orders.
- You will provide direct nursing care and administers specified medication, orally or by subcutaneous or intermuscular injection, and notes time and amount on patient chart
What You Will Need:
- Current LPN licensure from the state of residence.
- Demonstrated competency in BLS required upon hire and maintained.
- LPN / LVN) Certificate
