Job Summary:
HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our team located along the beautiful Treasure Coast of Florida. There is a new Emergency Medicine Residency Program starting in 2025!!
EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT PROFILE
- Level II Trauma Center
- 61,000 annual patient visits in Main ED and 16,000 in Peds ED
- 42-bed ED including 5 fast track plus 5 monitored beds
- 3 trauma bays, including 1 pediatric
- 2.0 pph
- 70 hours total of physician coverage (main ED and Peds ED incl)
- 60 hours of APP coverage
- 26% Admit rate
- EMR is Meditech, Pdoc and dragon dictation
- Comprehensive Stroke facility with bi-plane
- Interventional cardiac cath facility
- Code ice facility with therapeutic hypothermia capability
- Several dedicated ED glide scopes and US machines
- 24-hour inhouse Hospitalist and Intensivists
- No floor code or consult responsibilities
- IC-1099 contractor status (malpractice with tail covered)

Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM). Must also have Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Must have completed an EM Residency and Board Certified within 5 years. Provider will also be responsible for coverage at the Vero Beach FSED 2-3 times a month mixed in their schedule with Lawnwood ED.
