What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Superintendent - Multi Family position at HCC Construction Consultants & Recruiting Services Inc.?
Seeking Construction Superintendent to be responsible for the day to day on-site construction management in Albuquerque.
Duties:
- Managing projects in excess of five million dollars with multiple area superintendents as direct reports.
- Responsible for on-site management of all of the trades (employees, subcontractors and vendors)
- Responsible for working with and obtaining approvals from the governing municipalities
- Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews of design documents, prepare site logistics and mobilization plans and value engineering sessions,
- Develop a subcontractor’s/vendor’s scope of work to support the development of contracts/subcontracts/purchase orders, subcontract and vendor budget management,
- Manage contractor, subcontractor and vender adherence to schedule,
- Monitor and enforce on-site safe practices and ensure job site quality
control and cleanliness,
- Prepare and utilize two week look-ahead schedules to plan all field operations
Qualifications:
- 10 years experience in multi-family (medium and high density), commercial and mixed use fast track construction
- Knowledge of local, state and nationwide contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, commercial best practice techniques, and construction means, methods and building codes
- Must be proficient at reading and interpret building plans and specifications
- Experience with cost controls, scheduling and other industry related software (ie
Primavera, Microsoft Office, Sage)
- Construction field experience and subcontractor management is required
- Knowledge of National, State and Local building codes
- Candidate must be familiar with estimating, cost accounting and control systems
- Bachelor’s degree in construction or related field is preferred.
