What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Office Support Specialist position at HCF Management?
Position Summary:
Business Office Support Specialist is responsible for monitoring Accounts Receivables at the Care Community level, monitoring adherence to HCF’s policies/procedures and the training of new Office Managers in assigned facilities throughout the organization.
Position Responsibilities of a Support Specialist for Business Office:
- Assist/Monitor all Medicaid pending in OH and PA
- Assist/Responsible for Corporate Office Deposits for all facilities
- Monitor co-insurance, hospice, resident resource and VA billing at assigned Care Communities
- Travel to any/all HCF Care Communities as necessary to provide training, assistance, etc. to Business Office Managers
- Audit/assist billing Ohio Medicaid balances in MITS/PA Medicaid Promise
- Audit and approve facility refunds at assigned Care Communities
- Assist Business Office Manager at assigned Care Communities with collections calls, issues, etc.
- Conducts ADR’s, Humana audits, etc.
- Enforce established company policies and procedures as applicable.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must hold an Associate’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or a related discipline and/or have previous Accounts Receivable experience in long-term care. A thorough understanding of and experience with Medicare, Medicaid, as well as Insurance/Managed Care billing processes and strong organizational, computer, and time management skills are required.
