Position Summary:
Director of IT establishes the strategic direction of the organization’s infrastructure information systems and executes this strategy in collaboration with organizational leadership and the IT team.
Position Responsibilities:
- Must follow HCF Policies and Procedures
- Directs and manages the effective delivery of network services, applications, disaster recovery systems, data security and processes.
- Develop internal IT policies and procedures including those related to auditing and compliance.
- Develop IT hardware and software standards and sources of supply.
- Coordinate with an internal IT team and external technical support resources to find solutions to manage business activities.
- Supervise and develop a team of IT professionals, while working closely with all departments.
- Participate in the IT department’s financial budget process in collaboration with organizational leadership; ability to maximize resources and manage capacity effectively.
- Identifies and recommends new technologies and services that will improve efficiency, processes, and operations; reviews requests for additional services and upgrades, assessing the costs and benefits to the organization.
- Recommends the purchase, license, or other acquisition of hardware, software, or services needed to meet company needs.
- Maintains pace with technological progress, economic change, and Company needs by prioritizing own personal development as well as directing continual improvements of IT staff, equipment, and procedures.
- Ensure continuous data security measures are in place throughout the business and tested to reduce risk.
- Develop integrations for sharing medical information within the infrastructure tools and plans.
- Manage IT contracts and vendor relationships.
- Monitor information technology performance and recommend improvements
- Assumes responsibility for maintaining his/her own professional competence
- Periodic travel may be necessary to complete job requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Bachelor’s Degree in an IT-related field or in Business Administration with an IT emphasis. Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in Information Technology Management (health care industry experience preferred
