What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Medical Coder First Shift Full Time remote/must live within 60 miles position at HCH brand?
A Coder is responsible for reviewing medical record documentation and charges for completeness, accuracy and compliance; assigns, ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS codes to all appropriate patient types; utilizing the 3M coding and reimbursement systems.
CPC, CCS, CCS-P or RHIT required. CCS, CCS-P and CPC are the preferred certification. Associates in Health Information Technology from an accredited college or university or Bachelors in Health Information Management are preferred. Two years coding experience in a healthcare setting is also preferred.
