What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nutrition Services Aide Full Time- 1st Shift with Weekend and Holiday Rotation position at HCH brand?
Responsibilities: A Nutrition Services Aide assists the cooks and other nutrition services department personnel in areas such as washing dishes, answering the room service phone line, delivering patient trays, food preparation, food storage, cleaning, stocking, and operating the cash register. The Nutrition Services Aide must always follow safe food handling practices. In addition, the employee must understand prescribed therapeutic and modified diets.
Qualifications: It is required that a Nutrition Services Aide be at least 16 years of age, has the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and has the ability to write simple correspondences and speak in sentences. It is preferred that the Nutrition Services Aide has a ServSafe Certification. It is preferred that the Nutrition Services Aide has a High School diploma or equivalent training or up to one-year related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. It is also preferred that one has prior food service and commercial food preparation and understands following prescribed diets.
