Responsibilities:
The Certified Respiratory Therapist is responsible for the respiratory care and treatment of patients throughout the hospital. The CRT handles aerosol therapy, BLS, ventilator care, oxygen, and other respiratory therapy related treatments or interventions The CRT is also responsible for reading and interpreting physician prescriptions and orders to determine requirements for treatment such as type and duration of treatment.
The Registered Respiratory Therapist is responsible for the respiratory care and treatment of patients throughout the hospital. The RRT handles aerosol therapy, BLS, ventilator care, oxygen, etc. Responsible for reading physician prescriptions to determine requirements for treatment such as type and duration of treatment.
Qualifications:
BLS, ACLS, NRP and PALS, Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy, Clinical training acquired through the educational processes, Ohio Licensure, National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification required for Registered Respiratory Therapists.
