HCH Enterprises, LLC is seeking a Systems Administrator . This is a full-time position with HCH Enterprises, LLC and a contract position with the state of Rhode Island.
About the Office : The Attorney General is the state’s top lawyer and law enforcement official, protecting and serving the people and interests of Rhode Island through a broad range of duties. Every day, the Office’s attorneys fight to ensure the public safety of the state’s communities, improve the economic security of its citizens, safeguard the state’s spectacular natural resources, and restore the public’s trust in government. Assistant and Special Assistant Attorneys General represent the people of Rhode Island in civil and criminal matters before trial courts, appellate courts, and the supreme courts of Rhode Island and the United States. The Office is unique among attorneys general offices across the country. Out of fifty states, only two other offices share the same broad criminal mission. The Office’s attorneys prosecute complex and violent crimes but also functionally serve as one of the nation’s largest district attorney’s offices, prosecuting all felonies throughout the state.
Role and Responsibilities
The System Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation / configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems, hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff to work effectively.
The major responsibility is to ensure the administration and daily operation on the following systems :
- Cloud based and local client-based software.
- Administration of Infrastructure servers.
- Remote device management.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
Preferred Skills
Systems Administrators must possess strong technology skills, organization skills, structure, effective listening, and communication skills, handle multiple tasks and remain calm under stressful and challenging activities. A high proficiency in computer use, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are required.
Additional Notes
The Systems Administrator must be available for on call responsibilities.
A proficiency with the following is highly desirable; OSI layer, Storage, Backup / Recovery tools and processes, Cisco technologies, Software management tools, Adobe Acrobat DC, Microsoft Office 365, Exchange, OS, Virus protection, Security best practices, Desktops, Laptops, Servers, video, telephony, Printers, Copy machines, Faxes, Databases, Networking, Basic wiring, technical Nomenclature, Client interaction skills.
Other Information : The selected applicant will be subject to a background investigation including reference checks. All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of the background investigation.

Projected start date TBD. Estimated length of contract is one year. This is an onsite position. Candidate must be able to meet this requirement. There is a mandatory pay rate of $49.50 / hour.
