What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Expediter (Hazmat Low) position at HCI | integrated solutions?
Completes Aircraft Load Plans using the Integrated Computerized Deployment System (ICODES). Ensures the deploying unit adheres to the established movement timetable, inspects packaging, marking, labeling, reviews shipping paper-accompanying cargo for accurate descriptions and complete record of items to be air transported, building air load plans, and reviews all documentation of equipment for air movement. Assist in the collection of data for end of month reports. Plan and coordinate movement of military personnel and cargo through staged departure and arrival points for inbound and outbound deployments. Tracks inbound /outbound missions with Global Support Systems (GDSS), and Single Mobility Systems (SMS). Maintains and processes air movement records in accordance with department procedures. Coordinates the processing and loading of personnel and cargo based on deployment plans and aircraft schedules. Maintains aircraft status boards, receives air mission set-ups, and relays information on passenger processing and movements to the A/DACG Operations/Shift leader. Assist deploying unit with air passenger manifesting and ensures the air manifest is legible with all required data. May operate a variety of materials handling equipment such as forklifts, to load or relocate cargo. Responsible for physical security of passengers in the loading zone along with the inspection of items to be loaded onto the aircraft. Visually inspects items for proper packaging, marking, labeling and placarding. Reviews shipping paper accompanying cargo /baggage for accurate descriptions and complete record of items to be transported. Ensures the deploying unit adheres to the established movement timetable. Be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint. Performs other duties as required. Extensive interaction with customers is required. Work requires long strenuous hours and being able to work an uncommon tour of duty including nights, weekends and holidays. Work requires standing, walking, lifting and carrying of papers and other materials. Must attend AMCO Course and maintain certification semiannually. Must be able to work under pressure, comply with published company work rules and lift 50 lbs.
