Summary Of Essential Job Functions
- Analyze job specifications and requests, providing accurate and comprehensive designs while adhering to city or county regulations.
- Design fire protection sprinkler systems for both new design/build and remodel projects, closely monitor progress, assess design quality, and take proactive steps to maintain project engineering schedules.
- Ensure fire sprinkler design/drawings are completed/submitted to the appropriate authority for approval, within the constraints of each individual construction project(s) schedule.
- Efficiently manage the design of multiple projects concurrently, producing material cut sheets and material lists for fabrication. Collaborate with project management and field personnel to implement field changes effectively.
- Create plans from site surveys or PDF drawings if CAD drawings are unavailable.
- Generate final AutoSprink drawings that align with specified requirements, applicable codes, and regulations.
- Conduct jobsite surveys in various counties/cities for all information needed to complete the design of a fire sprinkler system.
- Prepare as-built drawings based on onsite drawing mark-ups.
- Review your own drawings for quality and accuracy, adhering to company-drafting standards and procedures.
- Submits design plans to proper department leadership for approval and obtains permits as required. Confers with engineering and design staff to determine design modifications and enters editing information into computer.
- Comply with company policies and safety requirements.
- Present the company in a positive and professional manner at all times.
- Dependability and effective communication are paramount.
- Regular, reliable, predictable attendance is an essential requirement.
- Submit plans to local jurisdictions for approval.
- Proficiency in Fire Sprinkler Design
- Familiarity with AutoSprink
- Knowledge of commercial fire sprinkler systems and NFPA 13

- Working/Experience in BIM coordination.
- 2-5 years of experience in Fire Sprinkler Design
- High School Diploma preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to seek clarification when necessary.
- Computer aptitude in a Windows environment with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with a proven ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Proactive and deadline-oriented, with the capacity to complete assignments in a timely manner
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
