What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate/Driver position at HCI Systems?
We are looking for a motivated and organized Warehouse Driver Associate to receive and dispatch merchandise. The work environment is energetic and fast paced, to be successful in this role you must be detailed orientated, mechanically inclined, able to follow detailed instructions, be a team player, and have an acceptable DMV record. You will keep your work environment clean and organized at all times, and comply with all relevant safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Day time work shift, Monday through Friday with occasional weekends and overtime needed.
HCI Systems Inc. is a licensed C-7, C-10 and C-16 low voltage systems integration contractor offering a full spectrum of services including sales, engineering, installation, service, and maintenance with over 600 employees in our seven branches across California and growing. We offer fire life safety, fire suppression, fire sprinkler, access control, video management, intrusion detection, structured cable, nurse call and other related electronic detection solutions to our customers.
Pay Range: $18.00-$22.00/HR
Position Responsibilities:
- Coordinates with internal departments on deliveries, scheduling of deliveries, and other daily general warehouse functions
- Coordinates the receipt, storage, and delivery of supplies, materials, and equipment in and out of assigned warehouse facility
- Makes deliveries to job sites and pick-ups materials as needed
- Experience in the safe forklift operation preferred
- Able to safely secure, load, operate, and maneuver drop deck trailer and company liftgates
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders for accuracy and reports any discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager
- Input materials into computer system and forwards documentation to the Accounting Department
- Fulfills order requests daily
- Participates in quarterly warehouse inventory cycle counts and reconciliation
- Ability to utilize Microsoft office tools such as Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Effectively communicate project status to management.
- Establish and maintain cooperative work relationships
- Work independently and under minimal supervision
- Complete all appropriate company paperwork as required
- Regular, reliable, predictable attendance
Basic Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Applicants must meet requirements in relation to background
- Must possess required knowledge and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.
Physical Requirements:
- Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds and heavier weights with the proper equipment.
- Hearing and speaking to exchange information.
- Dexterity of hands to perform the tasks required of the position
- Regularly stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, grasp, and perform repetitive motions
Environment:
- Indoor, warehouse environment and outdoor environment, with climate changes.
- Exposure to dust particles
- Includes driving 40% of the time to conduct work
