Position: Business Systems / Data Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Business Systems / Data Analyst to take the lead in analysis and design for a major replatforming initiative focused on reference and master data management across multiple workstreams. This role requires a deep understanding of data systems, strong analytical skills, and close collaboration with business users to define and deliver solutions. Candidates with financial services experience, particularly in IBOR or ABOR, and familiarity with portfolio structures are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Business and Data Systems Analysis

• Conduct a thorough analysis of existing systems and business processes to support a large-scale replatforming project centered on reference and master data management.

• Partner with business users to collect, document, and refine system requirements for enhancements, integrations, and overall design.

• Assess business entities, data structures, and system dependencies to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

• Develop detailed system design documentation, capturing data flows, entity relationships, and solution implications.

Data Management

• Manage reference and master data across multiple business units, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

• Utilize SQL to extract and manipulate data for analytical purposes, system design, and informed decision-making.

• Contribute to data governance efforts to maintain high data quality standards and regulatory compliance.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Serve as the primary bridge between business users and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment of expectations.

• Conduct stakeholder meetings to gather requirements, prioritize needs, and validate business solutions.

• Provide subject matter expertise in IBOR, ABOR, and portfolio structures to influence system design and project direction.

System Design and Documentation

• Develop system solutions that align with business objectives and technical capabilities.

• Author comprehensive functional specifications, system design documents, and user guides to support implementation.

• Work closely with development teams to ensure smooth execution of system enhancements and process improvements.

Tools and Technologies

• Advanced Excel for data analysis, manipulation, and reporting.

• SQL for data extraction, querying, and analysis.

• Experience with platforms such as Eagle Star and Snowflake is advantageous.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years in business systems and data analysis, ideally within financial services.

• Strong expertise in IBOR or ABOR, with experience in portfolio structures.

• Proven ability to collaborate with business users to gather and translate requirements into effective system solutions.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong SQL skills for data analysis.

• Excellent communication skills to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Hands-on experience with replatforming, data migration, and implementation of new data systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Eagle Star and Snowflake platforms.

• Knowledge of financial services data management practices and regulatory considerations.

• Experience leading large-scale, cross-functional projects.

• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills with a proactive approach.
