Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented SDET 1 to join our QA engineering team. As an SDET, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our backend services through robust and scalable automated tests. You ll work closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams in a CI/CD environment to validate APIs and backend functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for REST APIs using Java and Rest Assured (or similar frameworks).
Develop test plans, test cases, and test data for functional and integration testing.
Contribute to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins or equivalent tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test requirements and ensure complete test coverage.
Execute tests, log defects, and perform root cause analysis for failed test cases.
Write and maintain SQL queries to validate backend data and support API validation.
Support the team in debugging issues, reproducing defects, and validating bug fixes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1 2 years of hands-on experience in Java programming (strong understanding of OOPs concepts).
Proficient in API testing using Rest Assured, Postman, or similar.
Solid knowledge of test automation using Selenium and Cucumber.
Experience working with relational databases and writing complex SQL queries.
Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins and version control systems like Git.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
