As a Consultant Architect at VMware, you will be responsible for delivering advanced
architectural consulting and guidance to clients on their VMware technology solutions. This
role requires deep technical expertise in VMware's portfolio, including cloud infrastructure,
automation, and virtualization. The Consultant Architect will work closely with client
teams to design, implement, and optimize solutions that drive business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and implementation of VMware-based solutions tailored to
customer requirements, ensuring they align with business goals and technical
specifications.
Provide architectural guidance for multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud strategies,
including VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF 5.2) and VMware vSphere
environments.
Collaborate with customer stakeholders to understand their business needs and
translate them into technical solutions using VMware technologies.
Provide hands-on assistance and expertise in VMware s core technologies,
including virtualization, storage, networking, and automation.
Develop solution blueprints, architecture diagrams, and detailed documentation to
communicate proposed solutions effectively to clients and internal teams.
Mentor and advise junior architects and consultants on best practices, ensuring the
successful delivery of VMware solutions.
Work with project management teams to ensure projects are delivered on time,
within budget, and meet all scope requirements.
Engage in pre-sales activities, including technical presentations, workshops, and
proof-of-concept projects, to support the sales process.
Key Requirements:
Extensive experience with VMware technologies, including VMware vSphere,
vSAN, NSX, vRealize Suite, and VMware Cloud Foundation.
Proven expertise in designing and implementing VMware solutions for enterprise
clients, including cloud architecture, networking, and storage solutions.
Strong understanding of multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud infrastructure and strategies.
Experience in leading architectural engagements, from the initial scoping phase
through to delivery and post-implementation support.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to address
complex technical challenges in client environments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present
complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, project
managers, and technical specialists, to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
VMware Cloud Foundation 5.2 Certification
VMware certifications such as VCP, VCAP, or VCDX.
Experience with DevOps and automation tools, including CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of cloud-native applications and containerization technologies such as
Kubernetes and Docker.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) frameworks and tools. (1.) To adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements and company policies (2.)
