What are the responsibilities and job description for the Backup Administrator position at HCLTech?
The position involves taking an expert role to resolve problems, maintain managed Rubrik backup operations and, when necessary, to return system to operational status.
- Supporting and troubleshooting Rubrik backup, recovery and archiving in a large, complex and widely distributed environment, including AWS archival.
- Provide status and progress reports for Rubrik backup environment related activities and tasks on regular / periodic basis.
- Capability to upgrade Rubrik software across different versions and regular patching of Rubrik environment.
- Contribute Rubrik technical content to leading Deployment Guides, Knowledge Base, FAQ's etc.
- Basic knowledge & understanding of different types of Rubrik Backup failures, resolving them in collaboration with Rubrik support.
- Understanding of engaging Rubrik support and escalation of Rubrik issues.
- Must Have : -
- At least 6 years of Enterprise Backup (Rubrik preferred, Veeam, Networker and Data Domain) troubleshooting or Administration experience.
- Certifications : - Certified in Rubrik

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
