What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Engineer- Nortel position at HCLTech?
Strong knowledge with Cisco Unified Call Manager, Cisco Unity, Cisco Contact Center Express, Cisco Voice Gateway, Emergency Responder, CUAC, and Overhead paging.
· Understand Cisco Voice network deployment models and device functions.
· Knowledge of ISDN, SIP, H.323, and MGCP signaling protocols.
· Configure, install, maintain, and troubleshoot phones, faxes, voicemails, and auto attendants.
· Coordinate with third-party providers and OEMs to resolve telecommunication issues.
· Experience with Nortel PBX MACD changes, including:
o Adding, moving, and changing phone extensions.
o Updating user profiles and permissions.
o Managing voicemail settings.
· Integrate voice services with other technologies.
· Knowledge of UCCX scripts.
· Work with project management to meet timelines and ensure client satisfaction.
· Communicate changes to keep projects on track and follow change processes.
· Prepare and review documentation, instructions, and procedures.
· Follow ITIL processes and use the ServiceNow ticket system.
· Travel between cities for service tasks and incident tickets.
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to HCL policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to HCL policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off (PTO) per year (some positions are eligible for unlimited PTO); and 10 paid holidays per year.
