Compensation : $70K-$80K per year
Job Type : Full Time. Monday - Friday. Day shift.
Our client, a school dedicated to supporting children with disabilities, is seeking a School Psychologist for their Queens, NY location.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Support the emotional, social, and academic development of students
Conduct initial psychological evaluations
Provide individual and small-group counseling
Offer crisis intervention and classroom support as needed
Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) to address challenging behaviors
Lead parent workshops and staff training on topics such as behavior management and social-emotional development
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school policies
Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
Work closely with teachers, therapists, administrators, and other staff to develop and implement strategies that support student success
Job Requirements :
Doctoral degree in Psychology
New York State Licensed Psychologist
Proficiency in the Behavior Assessment System for Children-3 (BASC-3)
