We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Dental Assistant to join our fully digital Orthodontic practice full-time in Ossining, NY. Conveniently located in Westchester County, 30 miles N of NYC. Ideally, the incoming dental assistant has good hand-eye coordination, can multitask, has a sense of professionalism, is accurate and detail oriented, has a positive attitude and is a team player. Preferably the incoming Registered Dental Assistant has orthodontic assisting experience, has proficiency with iTero intraoral scanner and is willing to learn 3D printing.

Duties :
- Assist the dentist, or any team member, in completing his or her tasks in a timely and comprehensive manner.
- Greet patients, review today’s procedure and prepare them for their visit- escorting them to and from the treatment room, preparing them for care by the Doctor. Reviews patient’s medical history, progress from the previous visit, and the scheduled treatment plan with each patient.
- Assist the Doctor in taking any necessary radiographic images and photos and uploading them to patient's electronic record
- Assist with Intraoral impressions / photos, arch wire removal, arch wire changes, appliance delivery, clear aligner delivery, braces delivery, and appliance removal
- Assists the doctor by passing instruments, aspirating intra‑oral fluids, mixing materials and medicaments during examinations or treatment.
- Help patients communicate any concerns or questions to Doctor
- Assist in the responsibility of charting and note-taking in the patient’s record which includes any conversations and / or patient concerns and treatments rendered
- Prepares all treatment rooms including, but not limited to, set-up, decontamination, sterilization of all instruments, cleaning and restocking. Changes all chemical solutions, i.e., disinfectant soaks and sprays, sterilents, ultrasonic, presoak and X‑ray processing.
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Develops maintenance schedule for equipment and assigns staff maintenance duties
- Educate the patient about their oral health and provide home care instructions
- Operate 3D printer for orthodontic appliance fabrication (willing to train)
- Willingness to participate in advanced education including x-ray certification, CPR / BLS classes and training in OSHA standards
