Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Develop, implement, and enforce company-wide safety programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EM 385-1-1, and other industry regulations.
  • Conduct job site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
  • Provide safety training programs for employees, subcontractors, and leadership teams.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, providing recommendations to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Maintain accurate safety records, documentation, and compliance reports.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Field Teams to promote a safety-first culture.
  • Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and pre-job briefings to reinforce best practices.
  • Monitor and enforce PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans and safety drills.
  • Collaborate with insurance providers and risk management teams to reduce workplace incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements.
  • Support incident reporting, claims management, and return-to-work programs.
  • Analyze safety metrics and develop action plans to drive continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Competency & Abilities :

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and construction safety regulations.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for safety training and reporting.
  • Proficiency in safety management software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to lead, educate, and influence employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to respond effectively to incidents.
  • Ability to travel to job sites as needed for inspections and training.
  • Qualifications & Experience :

  • 5 years of experience in construction safety management.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), or OSHA 500 certification preferred.
  • Experience conducting safety training, accident investigations, and compliance audits.
  • Knowledge of EM 385-1-1, ANSI, NFPA, and other safety standards.
  • Experience implementing behavior-based safety programs.
