What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitor - Per Diem - White River Junction position at HCRS?
Position Purpose:
The Housekeeper must consistently maintain a clean, sanitary, comfortable and tidy environment for HCRS Facility in WRJ, VT.
Housekeeper’s responsibilities include cleaning of all building surfaces as required, in the following areas: Offices, Restrooms, Kitchens, Waiting Rooms, Meeting Rooms, Hallways, and other areas as needed.
Principal Responsibilities and Duties:
- Ability to work independently as a team member.
- Must handle various cleaning solvents.
- Maintain Facility in a sanitary and infection-free condition through washing, Cleaning and disinfection of all high-touch surfaces.
- Clean sinks, mirrors, toilets and showers daily.
- Empty trash containers / Recyclables daily.
- Vacuuming spaces daily as needed.
Key Knowledge, Skills and Abilities to successfully perform this job:
- Cleaning of furniture upholstery and components.
- Cleaning and disinfection of water dispensers.
- Must report any needed repairs to the Facilities Team in relation to water leaks, building or furniture repairs or safety hazards.
- Other related tasks as required.
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods.
Relationships:
Reports directly to the Facilities Manager
Interacts with all levels of staff
Working Conditions and Additional Information:
This position demands good physical and mental health.
Dependable transportation for consistent attendance.
The Housekeeper will be required to move continuously during work hours.
