Disabilities Assistant
A position working within the Disabilities Program area, which assists in the implementation of child observations, Special Education referrals, IEP/IFSP meetings, classroom/child support, and building relationships with outside agencies.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field required
Skills and Experience
- At least three years experience working with young children with special education needs in a preschool setting.
- Ability to coach and model strategies.
- Strong communication skills, verbally and in writing, effective problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a diverse workplace.
- Ability and willingness to work as a team member.
- Ability to maintain and adhere to boundary guidelines.
Starting Pay: $26.92 per hour
Full Time: 40 hours per week
Full Year: 52 weeks per year
