The billing rep provides office support to providers, the director, and the manager. Acts as receptionist for the Hospitalist office. The Billing Representative is a multi-tasking position that consists of all front-end functions including customer service, telephone management, daily census reports and work list for assurance of appropriate charging, registration, time of service account management, charge entry, and appropriate end-of-day closure procedures. A high school degree or its equivalent is required. At least 2 years of relevant front-desk and customer related experience in a healthcare facility or 3 years in a front-end customer service position is preferred. Prior experience and demonstrated competence with patient or customer information systems is also preferred.
