What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor position at HCSC?
HCSC industrial healthcare laundry facility is hiring for a position in our Maintenance Department. We offer excellent fringe benefits package including medical, dental, vacation, holidays, personal days and more.
Supervises mechanics and housekeepers, maintains and secures the building and grounds, ensures the equipment and systems are in proper working condition, orders parts and supplies, trains mechanics and housekeepers, corroborates with GM on budgeting and equipment repairs and purchases.
- Inspects plants on a regular basis to assure safe practices and safety policies are being followed; addresses safety concerns as they arise. Participates in safety committee meetings.
- Ensure that all laundry equipment is operating safely and efficiency. Repair equipment as necessary.
- Direct the daily activity of the mechanics and housekeepers. Adjust staffing requirements and provide task lists.
- Monitors performance and attendance of assigned employees. Take action as necessary per HCSC Employee Handbook or Bargaining Agreement.
- Supports and assists with development of training programs as they pertain to a specific department or across the organization, develops training checklist, and provides continuing education, and new employee and ongoing training initiatives.
- Ensures that the Preventative Maintenance schedule is current and that assigned mechanics are completing PM as scheduled.
- Responsible for maintaining necessary levels of inventories and ordering parts/supplies as needed.
- Record utility (water, gas & electric) consumption on a daily basis.
Minimum 2 years practical experience or technical training in electrical/mechanical maintenance.
Ability to understand schematics and wiring diagrams preferred.
Ability to work independently and also work and communicate as a team.
Ability to work overtime is required.
Waste Water License and Boiler Operator License required to be obtained within six (6) month of hire.
Hours: 2nd shift, 2:00pm to 10:30pm, Monday through Friday.
