Job Summary
Located in Houston. TX - This position is responsible for the planning, coordination of marketing activities, and selling employer group - life, dental and ancillary products throughout an assigned area. Responsible for the development of effective working relationships with brokers, general agents, and/or Blue Cross Blue Shield Plans within the area.

Required Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree and 4 years of sales or account management experience in Ancillary or HealthCare benefit OR combination of education and experience to equal 8 years, OR 8 years of group life, health, or ancillary insurance sales or account management experience .
- Current sales license in the state of operations (Producer/Agent Life & Health Sales License).
- Knowledge of marketing principles, health care benefits sales strategy, and technical aspects of products and services.
- Experience in customer service and/or sales position which requires self-direction, initiative, and decision-making.
- Clear and concise interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel as necessary.
- Experience negotiating, prospecting and closing skills.
- Presentation skills.
- Self-directed and motivated.
- Analytical skills.
- Problem solving skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Organizational skills.
- PC proficiency and skills to include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM/Prospecting tools, Internet/Social media research skills.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree.
- Insurance Health Care and ancillary benefit sales experience.
- Knowledge of ancillary employee benefits products and their contracts.
- Experience developing sales performance goals to ensure the acquisition of new client accounts, the sale of products and services.
- Experience developing proposals that meet client’s needs, goals and overcomes objectives.
- Knowledge of contracts, state regulations, procedures, and other information pertinent to sales and servicing of employer group business.
- Proven experience meeting assigned revenue goals through development of measurable key indicators/metrics.

Salary : $60,700 - $76,800
