Basic Function: As a Sales Manager at HCT by kdc/one, you will embark on an exciting journey to build your own book of business within the competitive cosmetics industry. Key Responsibilities:


Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and deepen relationships with existing clients while aggressively pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Develop a strategic approach to engaging with key players in the beauty and personal care industry, ranging from indie brands to established corporations.
  • Deliver impactful sales presentations, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of samples, quotes, and final products.


Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and execute a robust sales strategy aimed at market penetration and account growth.
  • Leverage your project management expertise to provide insights that guide client engagements and product development.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and market dynamics to refine sales tactics.
  • Drive innovation by partnering with internal teams to introduce new concepts that resonate with client needs.


Entrepreneurial Business Development:

  • Build your own business pipeline within the organization by identifying and securing high-potential clients.
  • Use your network and connections in the cosmetics industry to open doors and create opportunities.
  • Strategically expand the company’s presence in untapped markets and product categories.


Account Growth and Management:

  • Take ownership of a portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring their satisfaction and exploring opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring seamless communication and execution of their projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to guarantee project timelines and deliverables align with client expectations.


Operational Excellence:

  • Utilize data-driven insights to forecast sales, monitor progress, and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers and other departments to ensure client deliverables are met on time and exceed expectations.
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities, client interactions, and market feedback to refine processes and inform decision-making.


Market Representation and Networking:

  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings to enhance brand visibility and credibility.
  • Actively network to cultivate relationships with prospective clients and industry influencers.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and opportunities to position the company as a leader in the cosmetics packaging and development space.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in project management or product development within the cosmetics or beauty industry.
  • Strong desire to transition into a sales-focused role, with a proven ability to build relationships and drive results.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of the cosmetics industry and an understanding of product development processes.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and opportunity identification.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
