HD Fowler Company is seeking a highly motivated Human Resources Generalist, who will be responsible for various HR compliance and administrative duties at our Corporate Offices in Bellevue (Factoria), Washington. Responsibilities:
- Support the HR Manager with various employee relations issues and follow proper compliance best practices.
- Provide thoughtful and forward-thinking support for all levels of employees regarding various HR related policies and procedures.
- Serve as point of contact for employees and answer questions via email, teams and over the phone.
- Handle various leave of absence and reasonable accommodation requests and produce the required documentation.
- Manage Driver Qualification files in accordance with FMCSA requirements.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA logs and safety reporting regulations.
- Accurately process workers compensation claims in a timely manner. Including WA L&I, SAIF and Travelers.
- Provide extensive support with new employee onboarding and benefit enrollment, including processing Open Enrollment and mid-year qualifying events.
- Answer general employee benefit questions and collaborate with vendors to resolve complex employee inquiries.
- Collaborate with payroll, finance, administrative and operations teams.
- Analyze HR data, identify trends and develop recommendations for solutions.
- Provide upkeep of employee data through Paycom (HRIS) and other data tracking tools.
A successful HR Generalist will have:
- Proficiency with HRIS administration, experience with Paycom and SharePoint are a plus.
- Strong multi-tasking skills and proven ability to manage changing priorities.
- Professional communication skills and the ability to demonstrate patience when handling sensitive and complex HR matters.
- Working knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and standards such as ADA, FMLA, EEO, DOT, OSHA, etc.
- Experience managing leave of absences for multiples states.
- Consistently demonstrate creativity to anticipate and resolve conflicts, solve problems and/or develop alternatives.
- Solid ability maintaining professionalism and confidentiality with proprietary and sensitive HR information.
- Strong MS Suite skills, high accuracy, and an eye for detail. Proficiency with Excel and xlookup/vlookup is a plus.
- Able to self-guide work prioritization and completion; work independently with little direct supervision.
- Technical and functional knowledge of US federal employment and labor laws and regulations and same for WA, OR, ID, MT, UT and CO.
- Take initiative to audit work and have a forward focused view on upcoming tasks when there is downtime.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
- 3 years or more Human Resources compliance and administration experience

- In-Office Monday thru Friday 7AM to 4PM or 8AM – 5PM (1 hour lunch)
