Commercial Project Manager and Estimator

Overview:

HD Roofing and Construction is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Project Manager & Estimator to oversee the estimating, planning, and execution of commercial roofing projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of construction processes, and the ability to effectively communicate with clients, subcontractors, and team members.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating & Preconstruction

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial roofing projects using estimating software. (Edge, Bluebeam, Planswift, etc.)
• Review blueprints, specifications, and contracts to develop thorough bid proposals.
• Attend pre-bid conferences, site visits, and subcontractor scope reviews.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize costs and efficiency.
• Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive bids.
• Secure necessary permits and insurance certificates required for each project.

Project Management

• Oversee and manage commercial roofing projects from conception to completion.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, engineers, and clients to ensure project specifications and expectations are met.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Supervise and direct multiple job sites, ensuring quality control and efficiency.
• Conduct regular job site visits to review work progress, troubleshoot issues, and maintain open communication with field crews.
• Manage change orders, contract negotiations, and project closeouts.
• Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Provide regular progress updates to senior management.
• Resolve disputes and conflicts effectively to keep projects on track.
• Oversee the completion of punch lists and final project closeout processes.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 5 years of experience in commercial roofing, with a focus on project management and estimating.
• Expertise in construction estimating software and online bid platforms.
• Knowledge of CRM software utilization.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing materials, systems, and installation methods.
• Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage and mitigate project risks while maintaining profitability.
• Working knowledge of building codes, OSHA safety standards, and industry best practices.
• Ability to travel to job sites as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 per year
