Locum Tenens NP/PA Medical Oncology Opportunity in Oregon

We are currently seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in medical oncology for a locum tenens position in Oregon, near Vernonia. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an outpatient setting, providing vital care while enjoying the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

Position Details

• Start Date: March 1, 2025 (subject to credentialing timelines, which may extend into mid/late March).
• Schedule:
• Four 10-hour shifts per week.
• Flexible schedule (no weekends).
• 6-month assignment with potential for extension.
• Coverage Need: Long-term vacancy.
• Setting: Outpatient only (no inpatient duties or call responsibilities).
  

Requirements

• Licensure: Must hold a valid Oregon license.
• Certifications:
• AOCNP certification is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• DEA required.
• Experience: Board certification in the relevant specialty is mandatory.
• EMR: Familiarity with Epic is preferred.
  

Practice Overview

• Approximately 12 patients per shift.
• Strong support staff includes:
• 3 Registered Nurses (RNs).
• 2 Medical Assistants (MAs).
• Collaborative environment with physician oversight provided primarily through remote presence.
