Position Details
- Start Date: As soon as credentialed
- Duration: 3 months, with the possibility of extension
- Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- 40 hours per week, 8-hour workday with a 1-hour unpaid lunch
- No on-call responsibilities
- Location: Community Health Center
- Patient Population: All age groups, from newborns to geriatrics
- Procedures:
- Basic outpatient procedures including injections, IUD placements, and minor wound care
- Providers must be comfortable working with vulnerable populations, including migrants and refugees
- Onsite interpretative services available
- Licenses and Certifications:
- Active Washington state license
- DEA certification for WA
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- DOT certification preferred
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years as a Family Nurse Practitioner
- Recent face-to-face patient care within the past year
- Familiarity with community health settings preferred
- Skills:
- Ability to manage a high patient volume (up to 18 patients per day)
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
- Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in fast-paced environments
- Support Staff: Dedicated medical assistant, receptionists, mental health therapists, dietitians, and pediatricians onsite
- Travel Logistics:
- Flight, rental car, or mileage, and lodging provided
- Credentialing Timeframe: 2-3 weeks
- Vaccination Requirements: COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required
