FLSA: Nonexempt
Summary:
With HDG’s vision to positively impact, along with its mission and core values at the forefront, a sales coordinator plays an essential role in the sales process by providing administrative support to sales managers and partnering with a hotel’s team members and leadership to help bring sales efforts from contract to day-of execution and relationship management. Friendliness and a proven ability to remain organized are important to success in this role.
Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing groups and events from dates, rates, room blocks, and follow up.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintaining sales records.
- Reporting month-end goals as requested.
- Arranging for collateral to be ready for presentation to business leads.
- Completing orders and keeping customers informed throughout the process.
- Developing an understanding of the company's and the property’s services and products.
- Monitoring and organizing room inventory.
- Tracking services and products for sale
- Answering emails and handling orders by phone promptly.
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Excel spreadsheets.
- Demonstrated ability to assist sales manager as needed.
- A strong work ethic and eager to learn and sell, including add-on services.
- Strongly skilled in organization, problem-solving, customer service, and multitasking while being committed to excellence.
- Must have strong communication skills to help communicate room blocks and meeting between all departments of the hotel.
- Must be able to assist sales managers on hotel site visits.
