Ennovara, headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, is a growing consulting company serving the energy and electric industry. We are looking for talented Engineers to join our team. The Engineer candidate will lead engineering projects with design, development, implementation, testing, analysis, and operation of technical products and systems related to Load Management, Demand Response, and Transportation Electrification programs offered to residential and non-residential electric utility customers.

Responsibilities
  • Researches, identifies, and evaluates Demand Response and Energy Efficiency products, installations, and initiatives for inclusion in electric utility Demand Side Management (DSM) program offerings.
  • Manages specific engineering related projects as assigned while incorporating project scoping, budgeting, scheduling, reporting, and collaborating with other departments as necessary.
  • Planning and implementation of field pilots, demand response strategy, data monitoring equipment, and data analysis of energy usage.
  • Specifies, develops, and tests new software, hardware, and firmware solutions for Demand Response, Energy Efficiency, and Transportation Electrification applications to ensure safe operation of premise-based equipment (e.g. smart Thermostats, grid interactive water heaters, load controllers, battery storage devices, industrial controls, electric vehicle charging equipment).
  • Supports Quantitative Analyst to ensure accurate Measurement and Verification (M&V), Forecasting, and Optimization processes through activities like analyzing the annual M&V plans, evaluating baseline, control group, or regression models, and analyzing the variance of reported forecasts against realized results.
  • Tests and implements controls and communication strategies from the utility back office all the way to behind the meter premise devices.
  • Provides engineering and technical support such as operational engineering calculations, studies, equipment specifications, equipment settings and recommendations that are required of the Demand Response system.
  • Coordinates with DSM program managers to facilitate design, evaluation, and implementation of Demand Response, Energy Efficiency, and Transportation Electrification initiatives.
  • Leads periodic project status and review meetings with clients.
Successful Candidates Attributes
  • Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience, with evidence of increasing responsibility.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, time management, verbal and written communication, presentation, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and participate effectively with internal and external customers in identifying and analyzing Demand Response, Energy Efficiency, and Transportation Electrification transactions.
  • Familiarity with electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
  • Solid organization skills, including planning, the ability to make sound prioritization decisions and the ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments.
  • Skill in the use of computers and the programs and applications necessary for successful job performance.
  • Ability to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and scaffolds.
