Founded in 1927, Head Inc. is a general contractor that specializes in concrete and asphalt paving on airfields. Since its inception, Head Inc. has been involved in public works projects. Our work experience includes projects for the Department of Energy, the Navy, the Corps of Engineers and various municipalities as well as private industry.

Essential Role:

This position is a dual position role and is accountable for daily oversight of Quality Control activities and Site Safety. This position is responsible for related field quality control inspection and documentation for construction operations.

Responsibilities:

· Perform submittal review and approval.

· Report all testing and documentation to owner as required.

· Lead weekly QC and Pre-activity meetings.

· Manage and coordinate QC specialists, laboratory testing personnel and other inspection personnel.

· Review tests, inspections and samplings and apply decision making process to ensure they are performed by appropriate methods and standards to comply with policies and procedures to ensure quality standards are being met.

· Inspect operations at hold points for work acceptance.

· Provide technical support for plants/materials and construction operations to ensure quality control standards are met.

Requirements, knowledge, skills:

· Five (5) years of experience as a QC Manager

· Roadway or airfields construction experience

· Ten (10) years of construction experience

· Experience as SSHO on Heavy Civil Jobs

· Familiarity with USACE Safety and Health Requirements manual (EM 385-1-1)

· Strong leadership skills

· Technical knowledge of materials and construction concepts

· Proficient with database operations and Microsoft Excel and Word Required

· Good oral and written communication skills

Education/Certifications

· Bachelor’s in Construction Management or Civil Engineering Required

· OSHA 30 certification (may obtain after start of job)

· USACE CQC for Contractors Cert preferred

· USACE RMS preferred

· ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician

· ACI Aggregate Testing Technician

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year

• 12 hour shift
