What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Manager position at Head Injury Association?
The Head Injury Association is looking for Assistant Manager for residential homes throughout Suffolk and Nassau Counties. The Assistant Manager, under the supervision of the Program Manager, will assist with supervision of Direct Support Staff as well as all daily functions of the shift.
Schedule: This position is 40 hours weekly, primarily 4:00pm - 12:00am
Locations: Coram , Stony Brook, and Manorville,
Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to:
- Responsible for the direct supervision of DSP staff and all daily functions of the shift.
- Monitor time and attendance of DSP.
- Ensure adequate staff for shifts.
- Conducts trainings for DSP as needed.
- Works closely with Med Counselor to ensure appointments are scheduled and completed.
- Ensure initial orientation of all new staff to the home.
- Responsible for assisting with the oversight of the personal environment.
- Ensure homes are sufficiently stocked with food and supplies including PPE on a daily basis.
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience working with a Special Needs Population or 2 years’ experience as a Direct Support Professional with Special Needs Population.
- High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's Preferred
- SCIP, AMAP and CPR/First Aid a Plus
- Valid New York Driver’s License in Good Standing
